TEACHING

Study with Orsolya Korcsolan
Juilliard graduate
and former student of the legendary Dorothy DeLay

Orsolya Korcsolan is quickly becoming one of the most sought after violin teachers of her generation in Vienna. If you are an advanced violinist looking for technical and/or musical guidance preparing for an audition or a concert, a parent seeking a patient and effective teacher for your child even if he or she is a beginner or merely just a music lover who wants to improve your playing, Orsolya offers comprehensive knowledge and a decade of experience for her students.

Ms. Korcsolan studied violin with some of today’s most remarkable musicians and educators at the World famous Juilliard School in New York including the brilliant teacher Dorothy DeLay, violin virtuoso Itzhak Perlman and Masao Kawasaki, chamber music from pianist György Sándor a former student of Béla Bartók,  Rohan de Silva accompanist of Itzhak Perlman and Jerome Löwenthal

Her education is deeply rooted in the famous Hungarian violin school, in the traditions of Flesch, Auer, Zathureczky, Hubay and Szigeti and in the Kodaly-Method that produced generations of extraordinary musicians and music teachers in Hungary and abroad. She was excepted at a young age of 12 to the 'Class for Exceptional Talents' at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest and for more then a decade Orsolya was able to capture the essence of the eastern european string tradition, taught by legendary Hungarian educators; violinist Dénes Kovács, Géza Kapás, Eszter Perényi and Mária Vermes, pianist Ferenc Rados (former teacher of Sir András Schiff and Zoltán Kocsis) and violist Géza Németh of the Bartók String Quartet.
